Biodynamic Cranial Approach
These sessions orient to Wholeness as Health and are a shift in approach from the usual symptom>diagnosis>treatment paradigm to one that is more non-linear and trusts the natural inherent wisdom and intelligence of your own system. The embryological forces that orchestrated our early growth and formation are still active now as our general health maintenance and balance.
The touch is safe, gentle, and respectful. It involves far less moving around that you may be accustomed to. Depth over time is how these restorative states are accessed. It can appear as if the the practitioner is simply meditating with their hands on you. As you learn to acclimate to this slowing down inside yourself you may directly experience the same restorative forces your practitioner is in resonance with. These forces are natural and inherent, not something being done to you or put in you.
Ideally, you will have some available free time both before and after your session. Allowing yourself the time and space to slow down inwardly and become more available to your deeper fundamental senses can be very helpful. The session is about reconnecting you with your source, your origin of emergence and wisdom, your Wholeness as Health, and letting it inform you. Therefore, you will be invited to let go of your ordinary way of perceiving from only your head center to sense-perceive from within your whole body.
By allowing your awareness to descend from your head center down into your body and settling in your heart or lower belly, you will be connected with the whole of your being, and the Health. You are invited to simply rest there and be with what it is, as it is.
During the session you may encounter all manner of phenomenology; memories, emotional issues, thoughts, feelings, and spiritual insights. When they arise, understand these are the exact aspects of yourself that consciousness has chosen to bring to your awareness. By remaining neutral and present to these aspects, the separated parts rejoin the Wholeness that you are. This is the expression of unconditional love. Allow whatever arises to be here without attempting to do anything about it. If something feels too intense, let your practitioner know so that the session can be modulated to help be with whatever is happening in a tolerable manner.
After the session, take an unhurried walk or do things that are supportive and nourishing for your before resuming your normal routine. Try to remain inwardly in contact with yourself regardless of what you are doing. Stay with the tonal resonance of the qualities and characteristics that you experienced during or at the end of the session for as long as it is naturally there.
Feel what it feels like to be feeling what you are feeling. Notice the qualities, characteristics, impact, or effect they have on you. Over time you may notice how this naturally comes to some understanding or resolution.
